#14 Breakfast @ the Flint Crepe Company
In this photo Oaklin Mixon whips up some great savory crepes for my son and I to devour on a cloudy Saturday morning at about 7:45am.
Note: This is THE place to get an espresso.
This business started as a street cart a few years back, and then moved to the Flint Farmer's Market. They opened this hip storefront on Saginaw street during November 2011.
My fav on the menu right now is the Applewood, a "Mediterranean" crepe that features sun-dried tomatoes, black olives, domestic feta cheese, chopped MI onions, house-made vinaigrette dressing, and sweet spinach grown at our greenhouse on Court St. in Flint.". I almost, ALMOST want another one right now just by proofing this description.
Fresh, local Ingredients = Seasonal Menu
The menu changes Seasonally to stay current with what's available locally and features both sweet and savory offerings, plus a "Fixins" Create-Your-Own menu. They have many meat, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options as well.
The food is excellent and the service is top-notch. If you haven't been there yet, make it a point to get there sooon before the Applewood gets pulled from the menu for the seosonal changeover - you have to try that thing.
